英文作业：弗兰肯斯坦博士的理想伴侣

按：这里公布一篇我在夜学的做的作业。题目要求是以科学怪人弗兰肯斯坦博士为第一人称，写他准备制造出怎样的理想伴侣，实际上也是谈自己选择的理想伴侣标准。这是第一稿。后面可以看到修改稿，所以大家可以先找错，然后看能找到多少。唉，英文写作路漫漫，尚需努力啊。

I am Dr. Frankenstein and I am going to create my perfect life partner. I have to limit the number of characteristics of my partner to 6 due to the following reasons:

1. Our president does not like anything which against his belief so he cut my research fund.
2. As a scientist, I understand that too many characteristics at the initial time will cause the unbalance of the design model which leads to unstable result even to chaos.

I have been preparing the list of my partner’s characteristics for a long time. Finally I made my choice and I need to write it down for the record.

First of all, I want her to have a similar background as I do. Too much difference on background will cause extra conflict on more aspects such as culture and common sense. When we have similar background, to understand with each other will be a lot easier. I scanned my brain and collected all of the memories from my childhood till youth, and then I will use these data for creating her mind as reference.

Second, she will have better than average outlook. I understand that there are only 5% of people who have desirable body in this world. So I don’t want her to be extreme beauty. Above the average is already good enough for her to have confidence. I care about inner more than outer. Thanks for the advanced modern sciences and technologies, now I can design her outlook first in computer, and then perform cosmetic surgery afterwards.

Third, she must have the appropriate degree of intelligence. I don’t want my partner to be just a decoration. She must be smart enough to understand me, of course not to the same level as me, or else she will figure out that I created her which is not a good thing. This is a hard task, and I have to adjust her intelligence level carefully.

Fourth, she will have a good sense of humour. This is also related to the intelligence issue, but I would rather list it separately because I believe a sense of humour indicates a healthy mind. My plan is to input all of the comedy scenes from my movie database into her mind.

Fifth, I want her to have a good instinct. It is well know that women have better instinct than men and they really act on it. Lots of people said that I cannot reproduce instinct but I will prove that they are wrong. I analyzed the instinct element from some animals such like cat, and then made a cocktail. I will know the answer after several days.

Sixth, the last one, she must be neither very dependent, nor very independent. Too dependent means that she will always rely on me and have no any her own ideas; too independent means that I will feel less bound between us. To adjust the degree of dependency is the same difficulty as to adjust her intelligence. I have to develop a self-adaptive program and do a long-term test.

With the above 6 characteristics, I can finally create my partner. To be honest, I am under a great pressure. I have to success, otherwise, I cannot afford another failure. Wish me luck!
